New Age practices promote self-exaltation, secret knowledge, and spiritual techniques that contradict the gospel, the sufficiency of Scripture, and the exclusivity of Christ. Scripture commands believers to avoid divination, syncretism, and deceptive spirituality (Deut. 18:10–12; 1 Cor. 10:21; Col. 2:8).

Christians grow in discernment by studying Scripture, testing all things by the Word, submitting to sound local church teaching, and avoiding spiritual practices that contradict biblical truth. Discernment is grounded in the fear of the Lord and shaped by the Holy Spirit through the Word.
