God Directs Our Plans
Proverbs 16 begins by acknowledging that people make plans. Planning is not sinful or unwise. Scripture encourages diligence, preparation, and careful thought. Yet the answer of the tongue and the final outcome belong to the Lord.We may establish goals and determine what we believe is the best path forward, but God remains sovereign over every detail. Wisdom means committing our work to Him, trusting Him with the process, and submitting the outcome to His will.God Sees and Weighs the Heart
Proverbs 16:2 explains that all a person’s ways may appear pure in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the spirit. Human beings naturally justify their choices and evaluate their motives favorably.
