1. The Faith is Once for All Delivered
- The gospel is complete, final, and sufficient.
- The Reformers stood for the unchanging truth of God’s Word.
2. We Are Called to Contend for the Faith
- To contend means to fight earnestly for the truth.
- The Reformers contended because the gospel was at stake.
3. The Legacy of Courage and Conviction
- Luther, Calvin, Tyndale, and Knox stood firm with unshakable faith.
- Their courage came from conviction and from living coram Deo—before the face of God.
Application
- Contend without compromise: Hold fast to the truth even when it’s unpopular.
- Contend with humility and grace: Speak truth with compassion and conviction.
- Contend with hope: Christ preserves His church as He did in the Reformation.
