Justice, Mercy, and Humility

Micah 6:8 teaches that God requires His people “to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly” with Him. Scripture does not separate justice from God’s character or from the virtues of mercy and humility. Justice without mercy can become harsh, while mercy without justice can become empty.Christians must therefore resist cultural definitions of justice that are detached from the truth of Scripture. God alone defines what is right, and His unchanging Word gives believers clarity for thinking about law, authority, society, and the treatment of others.
