In this episode, Dawn addresses the dangers of modern apostolic authority, spiritual-covering systems, extra-biblical revelation, and deliverance teaching that presents ordinary struggles and even children’s difficulties as demonic problems. The church does not need a hierarchy of special anointing, self-appointed apostles, or deliverance rituals. Christians need the sufficient Word of God, faithful local churches, biblical discipleship, and the saving gospel of Jesus Christ.Children especially need to hear the gospel, be taught God’s Word, and be cared for with wisdom and compassion. They must not be burdened with unbiblical teachings that label ordinary sins, fears, struggles, or developmental conditions as demons to be cast out.As Scripture warns, false teachers and false prophets will arise. Believers are therefore called to test everything by God’s Word, reject what is false, and turn to Christ in repentance and faith.Scripture references: Deuteronomy 13; Deuteronomy 18:20–22; Matthew 7:15–20; John 7:24; 1 Corinthians 5; Galatians 1:6–9; Ephesians 5:11; 1 John 2:20, 27; Jude 3.For more episodes of NAR to Christ, visit NAR to Christ or at our YouTube.Dawn Hill is a Christian blogger known as The Lovesick Scribe, and the host of The Lovesick Scribe Podcast.
