Joash Repairs the Temple, Then Falls, True Faith Endures in God Alone
Reading the Bible Daily with Dave
· 2 Chronicles 24
In 2 Chronicles 24, Joash begins well under the guidance of Jehoiada the priest, repairs the temple, restores worship, and leads the people in generous giving. After Jehoiada’s death, Joash turns away, ignores God’s warnings, and ends in judgment. This devotion calls us to anchor our faith in Christ Himself, not in borrowed devotion, and to persevere in obedience to God’s Word.
