Jesus Our Bridegroom: Finding True Love That Fills the Empty Heart
Show: New Age to Christ
Date: 2/4/2026
Show Summary
Many women quietly carry deep feelings of emptiness, rejection, abandonment, or being unseen—especially after painful relationships or seasons of suffering. In those moments, it can feel natural to reach for something external to “fill” the ache—food, distractions, unhealthy relationships, or even spiritual practices that promise comfort but cannot satisfy.
In this episode of New Age to Christ, we study the biblical truth of Jesus as our Bridegroom. Scripture teaches that believers are the Bride of Christ—loved with a pure, faithful, sacrificial love secured by His life, death, and resurrection. This truth is especially healing for those who have sought wholeness through New Age spirituality,
emotional experiences, or counterfeit forms of comfort. Christ alone gives the lasting love and security the soul longs for.

Episode Notes
- Why emptiness feels so powerful: rejection, abandonment, and being overlooked can drive us toward substitutes that cannot satisfy.
- Substitutes don’t heal: comfort-food, distractions, and counterfeit spirituality promise relief but cannot fill what only God can fill.
- Pray first: bring your anguish to the Lord in honest prayer; submit to God’s will, God’s way, and God’s timing.
- Jesus as Bridegroom: believers are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb—our eternal hope and future with Christ.
- Christ’s love is covenant love: He laid down His life for His Bride; His love is faithful, pure, and secure.
- Guard gospel purity: the Bride of Christ is called to stand on God’s Word and resist false teaching and worldly temptation.
- Hope for the wounded heart: Christ offers unshakable love for those who have been betrayed, abandoned, or spiritually misled.
Reflection Question
When you feel unloved or ignored, how does trusting that Jesus is your Bridegroom remind you that He showed His great love by dying for your sins—and that you will be with Him for eternity?
Call to Action
If you’re struggling with emptiness, discouragement, or the temptation to look for comfort outside of Christ, turn again to the Lord through His Word and prayer. Jesus is faithful, and in Him you are deeply loved and never abandoned.
