Grieving with Hope in Christ
The Bible gives us words for sorrow. The psalms of lament teach believers to bring their burdens to God, while Lamentations 3 directs our attention to His unfailing mercies. At Lazarus’s tomb, Jesus wept. His compassion reminds us that our Savior understands grief.Dawn and Dave also consider 1 Thessalonians 4:13–14, where Paul grounds the believer’s hope in Jesus’ death and resurrection. Christians truly grieve, yet their sorrow is accompanied by the sure hope of life with Christ.Processing Grief After Leaving False Teaching
Leaving the New Apostolic Reformation or other false teaching can mean losing friendships, community, and a sense of identity. Dawn shares how false teaching shaped her response to suffering and why God’s sovereignty brings comfort that promises of personal control never could. The conversation encourages listeners to distinguish Christ’s character from the conduct of false teachers, return patiently to Scripture, and seek a sound local church with biblically qualified leadership. In This Episode

Receiving Care and Bearing Burdens
God’s people are called to bear one another’s burdens. Dawn and Dave encourage believers to receive care and to offer patient, practical support to others. A meal, a visit, a listening ear, and a thoughtful follow-up can express Christlike love long after the first wave of support has passed. For more biblical teaching, visit NAR to Christ and subscribe to our YouTube channel.Dawn Hill is a Christian blogger known as The Lovesick Scribe, and the host of The Lovesick Scribe Podcast.
