Gospel Grace Brings Us Home

Jesus Christ does not abandon His people when they wander. The same grace that saves sinners is the grace that sustains, restores, and welcomes weary believers home. In Luke 15, Jesus shows us a shepherd who seeks the lost sheep, a woman who searches for the lost coin, and a father who gladly receives his returning son.Christ also loves His church. He promised in Matthew 16:18, “I will build my church,” and He gave Himself for her. The church is not a perfect gathering of people, but it is Christ’s redeemed people, His household, and His body. Through the gathered life of the local church, God strengthens His people through His Word, prayer, worship, fellowship, faithful preaching, and mutual encouragement.If you have drifted, do not remain distant. If you are discouraged, do not lose heart. Look to Christ, trust His promises, receive His grace, and take the next faithful step toward the people He has given you for your growth, encouragement, and good.
