God Rules Over All Things
Psalm 115:3 says, “Our God is in the heavens; he does all that he pleases.” Daniel 4:35 declares that God acts according to His will among the hosts of heaven and the inhabitants of the earth, and none can stay His hand.God is not partially sovereign or temporarily sovereign. He reigns perfectly over all things. Nothing exists outside of His authority, knowledge, wisdom, or care.God’s Rule Is Perfect and Wise
God’s sovereignty is not random control. His rule is always holy, wise, just, and purposeful. He never makes mistakes, never acts unjustly, and never loses control of what He has made.Even when believers cannot understand their circumstances, they can rest in the character of the God who governs every circumstance. God’s purposes are never threatened by suffering, hardship, opposition, or uncertainty.Rest in God’s Sovereign Care
Believers are not governed by chaos or chance. This does not mean life will always be easy, but it does mean that nothing can separate God’s people from His faithful care or overturn His wise purposes.The sovereignty of God should lead Christians to humility, trust, worship, and steadfast hope.
