God Does Not Need Us: The Self-Sufficiency of God
New Age to Christ with Doreen Virtue — Week 50
New Age teachings often claim that God needs human beings to learn, grow, create, or accomplish His purposes. Some even describe people as “co-creators” with God. Scripture teaches something entirely different: God is completely self-sufficient, sovereign, and dependent upon no one.
In Week 50 of New Age to Christ, Doreen Virtue explains why God does not need our help, insight, experiences, or good works. Everything and everyone depends upon God, while He depends upon nothing outside Himself.
This truth is deeply comforting. Because God lacks nothing, His love, wisdom, grace, strength, and provision can never be exhausted. Christians are free to stop trying to control everything, rescue everyone, or carry burdens God never asked them to bear.
We obey God not because He needs something from us, but because we love Him and are grateful for the salvation He has given us through Jesus Christ.
