Does God accept me based on my performance?

No. Scripture teaches justification by grace through faith in Christ alone (Romans 3:21–26; Galatians 2:16). Our acceptance rests on Christ’s finished work, not our weekly performance.

Imputation is God crediting our sin to Christ and Christ’s righteousness to us (2 Corinthians 5:21). It’s a legal declaration: we are counted righteous in God’s sight because of Jesus.

How do legalism and prosperity-lite distort the gospel?

They move the ground of acceptance from Christ’s work to ours—either law-keeping or productivity and outcomes—undermining assurance and fueling pride or despair.

How can I reset assurance this week?

Run a daily assurance audit: Confess misplaced trust in your record (1 John 1:9), declare Romans 8:1 and 2 Corinthians 5:21, and obey from gratitude as fruit (Ephesians 2:10).
