What does Sola Fide mean?

Sola Fide means Faith Alone. It teaches that sinners are justified before God by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone, not by works.

Why is justification by faith essential?

Because God declares sinners righteous on the basis of Christ’s righteousness received by faith, which excludes boasting and safeguards the true gospel.
