Why does CRT appeal to some Christians?

CRT appeals because it talks about justice, a value the Bible affirms. Many believers are drawn to its language of compassion and reconciliation. However, without grounding in Scripture, CRT redefines justice in unbiblical ways that distort the gospel.

What does the Bible teach about true justice?

Justice in Scripture flows from God’s character. It is rooted in righteousness, mercy, and truth (Micah 6:8). The Bible calls for fairness, care for the vulnerable, and accountability for personal sin. Unlike CRT, biblical justice does not assign guilt or innocence based on group identity but on individual responsibility before God.

How should Christians respond to CRT?

Christians should: (1) Know the Word, letting Scripture define justice. (2) Reject partiality, treating all people as image bearers. (3) Pursue genuine relationships that display gospel unity. (4) Stand firm on the gospel as the only true path to reconciliation.
