📖 Passage: 2 Kings 22:1–20 (ESV)
In 2 Kings 22, King Josiah emerges as a rare bright spot in Judah’s history. At a young age he begins to reign, and when the Book of the Law is rediscovered in the temple, he responds with humility and repentance. This chapter teaches us that true reform begins with the rediscovery and obedience of God’s Word. Josiah’s contrite heart points us forward to Christ, the true King who brings lasting transformation through His Word and Spirit.
