2 Kings 10 — Finishing the Judgment on Ahab’s House
Series: Reading the Bible Daily with Dave
Date: Friday, August 29, 2025
Text: 2 Kings 10:1–36 (ESV)
Host: Dave Jenkins
Show Summary
Yesterday in 2 Kings 9, Jehu was anointed king and executed God’s judgment on Joram, Ahaziah, and Jezebel—exactly as the Lord had spoken through Elijah.
Today in 2 Kings 10, Jehu continues the mission: he removes Ahab’s line, eradicates Baal worship, and consolidates his reign.
Yet the chapter exposes Jehu’s compromise—he destroys Baal but clings to the golden calves—reminding us that partial obedience is still disobedience.
