Why did Solomon ask for wisdom rather than riches or power?

Because he prioritized leading God’s people faithfully. He knew wisdom from the Lord was essential for just governance and covenant faithfulness.

What does this reveal about God’s priorities for His people?

God values humility, worship, and dependence on His wisdom over worldly success. He delights to give wisdom to those who ask in faith.

How is Christ the fulfillment of perfect wisdom?

Christ is the wisdom of God (1 Cor. 1:24, 30). He embodies perfect righteousness and leads His people infallibly—greater than Solomon (Matt. 12:42).

In what areas should I seek God’s wisdom today?

Begin with worship and prayer. Ask for wisdom for personal holiness, family decisions, church service, vocational integrity, and cultural discernment.
