Why Theology Matters
Theology is not merely for pastors, scholars, or classrooms. Every Christian believes something about God. We all have convictions about truth, sin, salvation, suffering, identity, and what it means to live faithfully before the Lord. The question is not whether we have theology. The question is whether what we believe accords with the Word of God. Titus 1:1 connects the knowledge of the truth with godliness. Sound doctrine is not merely intellectual; it produces clarity, worship, obedience, and deeper love for God.Romans 12:2 also teaches that believers are transformed through the renewal of their minds. As Christians grow in biblical truth, they are better equipped to resist conformity to the world, discern false teaching, and live according to the will of God.What we believe about God shapes how we pray, worship, endure suffering, understand salvation, and follow Christ. Sound theology protects believers from confusion and doctrinal drift while directing them toward faithful obedience to Christ.Scripture references: Titus 1:1; Romans 12:2Continue Growing in God’s Word
