Isaiah 8: Fear God and Stand Firm in His Word
Author: Dave Jenkins Show: Reading the Bible Daily with DaveShow Summary
Isaiah 8 calls God’s people to honor the Lord as holy, fear Him above every human threat, and stand firmly on His revealed Word. As Judah faced political pressure, cultural fear, and the temptation to trust worldly power, God reminded His people that His Word will come to pass and that human plans cannot defeat His purposes. In this episode of Reading the Bible Daily with Dave, Dave Jenkins explains the certainty of God’s Word, the danger of fearing people more than God, the call to reject false spiritual guidance, and the hope found in Immanuel—God with us. Isaiah 8 also points us to Jesus Christ, the cornerstone for believers and the stone of stumbling for those who reject Him.Listen or Watch
