In Romans 12:1–2, Paul calls believers not to be conformed to this world but to be transformed by the renewal of their minds. This transformation is not self-improvement, positive thinking, or the pursuit of extraordinary experiences. It is the gracious work of God as the Holy Spirit uses the Word of God to conform His people to the image of Christ.
