It must be continually instructed and corrected by Scripture. When believers hold firmly to what God’s Word teaches clearly and demonstrate charity in areas where faithful Christians may differ, they protect both truth and unity within the body of Christ.Politics is important, but it is not the foundation of the Christian’s identity or hope. Christ is. Believers can therefore engage political issues seriously without allowing fear, anger, or partisanship to control them.
