Episode Summary
In this episode of Contending for the Word, Dave Jenkins is joined by Dawn Hill to discuss the New Apostolic Reformation, prophetic culture, modern claims of apostles and prophets, and why Christians must remain grounded in the authority and sufficiency of Scripture.
Dave and Dawn talk about the rise of modern apostolic and prophetic claims, the influence of C. Peter Wagner, the Seven Mountain Mandate, dominion theology, deliverance ministry, worship, emotional manipulation, and the dangers of building Christian faith on spiritual experiences rather than the Word of God.
This conversation also offers pastoral encouragement for those coming out of false teaching, reminding believers that their identity is not found in a movement, experience, title, or spiritual performance, but in Christ alone.
