How does Justin Peters respond to Jesse Duplantis' claim?

Justin Peters compares publicly available channel statistics for Jesse Duplantis and Jimmy Kimmel and points to the enormous disparity between their audiences.

Why does dishonesty matter when evaluating false teachers?

Scripture warns that false teachers may be characterized by deception, greed, and exploitation. Christians should therefore evaluate teachers and their claims according to the sufficient and authoritative Word of God.

How should Christians evaluate claims that God directly spoke to someone?

Christians should test every spiritual claim and alleged revelation by Scripture rather than accepting a teacher's claim of divine revelation merely on his own authority.

Jesse Duplantis’ False YouTube Claim and the Character of False Teachers

Jesse Duplantis claimed that YouTube demonetized his channel because it was receiving too many views and that the platform told him he was outperforming Jimmy Kimmel. In this episode of Sound Theology and Discernment, Justin Peters examines that claim using publicly available channel statistics and explains why the issue goes far beyond exaggerated numbers. Scripture repeatedly warns Christians that false teachers are characterized by deception, greed, and the exploitation of those who trust them.Justin also addresses the serious danger of teachers who repeatedly claim that God speaks directly to them.
