What does it mean to find your identity in Christ?

To find your identity in Christ means that believers are defined by their union with Jesus Christ rather than by their past sins, desires, experiences, or cultural labels. Through the gospel, Christians are washed, sanctified, justified, and made new in Christ.

How does the gospel transform a believer's identity?

The gospel transforms identity by uniting believers to Christ through faith. Christians become new creations, are forgiven of their sins, and begin the lifelong process of sanctification as they grow in holiness through the work of the Holy Spirit.

What is the relationship between repentance and sanctification?

Repentance involves turning away from sin and turning toward God, while sanctification is the ongoing work of God in the life of a believer to make them more like Christ. Both are essential aspects of Christian discipleship.
