In the world, hope often means uncertainty. It can mean wishing that something might happen. But biblical hope is altogether different. It is confident assurance rooted in the promises of God and secured by the finished work of Jesus Christ.Romans 5:5 tells us that hope does not put believers to shame because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit. Hebrews 6:19 describes this hope as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul. Christ is that anchor. Because of who He is and what He has done, the Christian’s hope is secure.This hope does not deny the reality of suffering or pretend that difficult seasons are easy. Instead, it gives believers strength, perspective, and steadiness in the middle of trial. God is at work, His purposes will stand, and His promises will not fail.As you face hardship, anchor your life in Christ. Rest in God’s unchanging promises.
