What’s the difference between conviction and condemnation?

Conviction is the Holy Spirit’s work using Scripture to lead believers to repent and obey Christ. Condemnation is the sentence of guilt; for those in Christ there is no condemnation (Romans 8:1).

How do I find a faithful local church after leaving the NAR?

Look for a church that preaches the Bible expositionally, holds a historic confession, practices church membership and discipline, and centers on the gospel in preaching, sacraments, and discipleship.

What is the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR)?

The NAR is a movement that elevates modern apostles/prophets, emphasizes signs-and-wonders and deliverance paradigms, and often promotes performance-based spirituality that undermines the sufficiency of Christ and Scripture.

Many leaving the New Apostolic Reformation wrestle with lingering guilt, false shame, and a performance mindset. In this conversation, Dave and Dawn trace guilt back to the Fall, distinguish conviction from condemnation, and show from Romans 8:1 how the finished work of Christ gives real freedom, assurance, and joy. We talk about walking by the Spirit, biblical literacy, faithful expository preaching, and the role of the local church.
