Doreen Virtue – From New Age to Christ

Doreen Virtue holds a Master’s degree in Biblical and Theological Studies (with highest honors, 56 units, 2021) from Western Seminary, and an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Chapman University. Before coming to saving faith in Christ in 2017, she was the top-selling New Age author in the world and was ranked among the 15 most influential living spiritual teachers by Watkins magazine.

For over three decades, Doreen was immersed in New Thought churches, later transitioning into New Age and Wicca teachings while touring with a global mind-body-spirit conference. She was frequently featured on popular media including Oprah, CNN, The View, and Coast to Coast AM.

Her life was radically changed when the Holy Spirit convicted her of sin as she read Deuteronomy 18:10–12. By God’s mercy and grace, Doreen repented and trusted in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.

Since her conversion, she has devoted herself to warning others about spiritual deception and pointing them to the sufficiency and authority of Scripture. She actively disciples women rescued from the New Age in a private community, writes and speaks on discernment, and contributes to the work of the gospel through biblically faithful ministries.
