What idols tempt you to rely on something other than God?

Common idols include comfort, success, security, and influence. Scripture calls us to repent and trust the Lord alone.

How does God’s mercy still appear even in times of discipline?

God restrains judgment, provides faithful warnings, and offers restoration through His Word and His promises.

Why is trusting in human strength easier but ultimately destructive?

Human solutions feel immediate, but they cannot save. Psalm 146:3 warns that princes cannot deliver, only the Lord saves.

How does the sign of Immanuel give hope in dark times?

Immanuel means God with us. The promise finds fulfillment in Christ who reconciles us to God and secures our hope.
