Prosperity, Power, and the Illusion of Kingdom Wealth

The Seven Mountain Mandate often presents business, wealth, and economic influence as a pathway to advancing God’s kingdom. Christians may hear claims about marketplace apostles, a coming wealth transfer, kingdom financiers, and taking dominion over the economy. In this episode of Contending for the Word, Dave Jenkins examines the Business Mountain of the Seven Mountain Mandate. He addresses marketplace apostle teaching, wealth transfer prophecies, prosperity theology, Word of Faith ideas, and decree-and-declare practices. More importantly, he explains the biblical doctrine of work, vocation, stewardship, contentment, generosity, and the mission Christ gave His church.

Faithful Stewardship, Not Economic Dominion

Scripture does not condemn work, business, profit, or wealth. Christians should honor the Lord in every lawful vocation, serve others well, give generously, and manage resources wisely. Yet Christ has not commissioned His church to capture the marketplace or pursue economic control. The church does not need a wealth transfer to fulfill its mission. It needs faithful pastors, faithful churches, faithful believers, and the faithful proclamation of Christ crucified and risen. Christ has commissioned His church to proclaim the gospel, make disciples, and teach His Word. For more from Contending for the Word, please visit Contending for the Word — Biblical Discernment Ministry and subscribe to Contending for the Word on YouTube.
