Episode Summary
In this episode of Reading the Bible Daily with Dave, Dave Jenkins walks through Psalm 141, a prayer of David for holiness and protection in the midst of a sinful and dangerous world.
Psalm 141 reminds believers that faithful living requires both God’s protection around us and His sanctifying work within us. David asks the Lord to hear his prayer, guard his mouth, protect his heart, help him receive righteous correction, and deliver him from the snares of the wicked.
This psalm also points us to Jesus Christ, who perfectly guarded His words, lived without sin, and entrusted Himself to the Father. Through Christ, believers are forgiven for sinful speech and empowered by the Holy Spirit to grow in holiness.
