What is the main message of 2 Chronicles?

God’s covenant faithfulness endures through Judah’s rise and fall, calling His people to repentant, Word-shaped worship centered on the temple and fulfilled in Christ.

How is 2 Chronicles structured?

Chs. 1–9 focus on Solomon and the temple; chs. 10–28 trace Judah’s kings in cycles of reform and relapse; chs. 29–36 highlight Hezekiah/Josiah’s reforms, decline, exile, and Cyrus’s decree.

How does 2 Chronicles point to Jesus?

The Davidic covenant anticipates Christ the eternal King; the temple anticipates Christ as God’s true dwelling with His people and, by union with Him, the church as His temple.
