Why is it significant that Solomon, not David, builds the temple?

It displays God’s sovereign choice and faithfulness to His covenant, and it underscores that worship is ordered by God’s will, not personal preference.

What does it mean to serve the Lord with a whole heart and willing mind?

Serving God from sincere devotion and obedient trust, aligning thoughts and motives with His Word rather than mere external duty.

How do God-given plans for the temple shape worship today?

They teach that God defines acceptable worship. The Church worships according to Scripture—‘in spirit and truth’—not by human invention.

Where can believers find courage to fulfill God’s calling?

In the Lord’s promised presence and faithful character—‘Be strong and do it… the Lord is with you’ (1 Chr 28:20).
