Why did God use Elisha to help ordinary people so often?

Elisha’s ministry showcases God’s compassionate providence. By meeting the needs of widows, families, and hungry disciples, the Lord reveals that His care is not only for kings and nations but for overlooked individuals. These miracles function as signs pointing to the character of God and anticipating Christ’s compassionate ministry.

How should Christians respond when they feel like they don’t have enough?

Scripture calls believers to bring their needs to the Lord, practice obedience with what they have, and trust His faithful provision. Like the widow gathering jars and the disciples distributing loaves, we act in faith while relying on God to supply according to His promises (Philippians 4:19).

What do Elisha’s miracles teach us about the character of God?

They reveal that God is powerful and merciful—He protects, provides, heals, and restores life. The miracles display His holiness and kindness and foreshadow the greater works of Jesus Christ, who brings life from death and satisfies His people abundantly.
