Why is Asa praised even though he did not remove all the high places?

Asa is praised because his heart was wholly true to the Lord all his days. While some high places remained, he removed idols, cleansed the land of idolatry, and led Judah in covenant faithfulness. God commends wholehearted devotion even when reform is not perfect.

What does it mean to have a heart wholly true to the Lord?

It means a life of consistent obedience and loyalty to God, motivated by love for Him. This devotion affects every area of life, even when repentance and renewal are needed.

How can we courageously confront compromise in our lives or churches?

We confront compromise by grounding our actions in Scripture, seeking the Lord in prayer, and acting with both courage and humility. Like Asa, we must be willing to make hard decisions, even when they involve family or cultural pressures.
