Where is He Now? Christ and His Session – “The Session of Christ is the divine combination of supremacy, glory, and authority of both the person and the office. Christ is not only given but is made proficient to wield the highest level of power and honor.”

What Does It Mean to Let the Peace of Christ Rule Our Hearts? – “This is my prayer for all of the civil unrest in our nation—that is also causing unrest and division in the body of Christ. My prayer is that the peace of Christ would rule our hearts. And may this inform our every tweet, status update, and conversation during these trying times.”

Take a Break from the Chaos – “Most talk about silence and solitude as spiritual disciplines seems to imply some kind of special retreat from normal life, but small, daily “retreats” can be vital as well. Such a brief season, alone and quiet, for hearing God’s voice in his word and responding to him in prayer, may be most fruitful in the morning when rested and alert, and the chaos of the day isn’t snowballing around us yet.”

The Incarnation: The Athanasian Creed – “Highlighting the relevance of the incarnation, the Athanasian Creed transitions seamlessly from Christ’s person to His work. During the whole of Jesus’ earthly ministry (and into eternity), Christ the God-man, secures salvation for His elect. He acts as man, because it is man who needs salvation. But, for a mere human, however infused with divine help, the call of duty is too great. Only God could provide man’s remedy. In Christ, God and man meet, and sinners are saved.”

What Are Some Good Questions to Ask an Evolutionist? – “The Bible instructs believers to have answers when challenged by any and all who oppose the Word of God (defense — 1 Peter 3:15). The Bible also instructs believers to bring down all strongholds and anything that exalts itself against the knowledge of God (offense — 2 Corinthians 10:4–5). Sadly, while many Christians lack the knowledge to challenge unbelievers (offense), they also lack a defense.”
