Inerrancy, Church History and the Word of God – “The Word of God is the means God uses by His Spirit to pierce the heart of the convinced atheist, rejecters like Judas, and deniers like Peter. Evangelicals today need to stand firm in the grace of God and the Word by looking to the example of men like Spurgeon and be encouraged that God by His grace is still working to bring people to Himself and build His church for His glory and praise.”

3 Ways to Stop Complaining & Grumbling – “So the next time your boss, wife, child, or friend does something that really irks you or that you disagree with, remember the example set for us by Jesus – “He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He did not open His mouth; Like a lamb that is led to slaughter, And like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, So He did not open His mouth” (Isaiah 53:7). Jesus was crucified, beaten mercilessly, and died on our behalf and did not utter one word of complaint. If He was willing to do that for us, why do we more often than not engage in murmuring and complaining about things of such a trivial nature?”

Give Me What I Want: Covetousness – “Each of us face difficult circumstances, from a human perspective. However, we are the people of God and are to serve him alone. Nothing else should supplant him as the object of our desires. Yet often by allowing discontentment in our families, we are teaching our children to place their own desires before things God has determined for our good. Do not covet.”

Sabotaging Your Kingdom – “With the vision of the New Jerusalem coming down from heaven in mind, let’s skip back a few scenes. Skip back to right now. Invite God to help you sabotage your kingdom so that you can begin to truly live in his. It’s not a kingdom where you rule. It’s a better and enduring empire.”
