When Will My life Not Suck: Authentic Hope for the Disillusioned is written by Ramon Presson, an author, speaker, and clinically certified marriage and family therapist. This book explores the life of the apostle Paul to show how hope and joy are possible even when life disappoints. Through biblical and personal examples the author seeks to answer the question, “When will my life not suck?” This book helpfully explores anxiety, prayer, dealing with one’s past and much more.

Mr. Presson throughout this book demonstrates not only that he knows the material he is teaching but that he has experienced the material to varying degrees in his own life, and takes to heart its message. Some books are good at offering theory while others in this genre lean towards offering to many practical suggestions without any sufficient grounding in the Scriptures. When Will My Life Not Suck thankfully is a book that combines biblical knowledge and practical experience wonderfully while at the same time pointing the reader to the person and work of Jesus Christ.

This book would be helpful to those who are struggling with anxiety, dealing with anxiety or wondering how to be content in Christ. At the end of this book the author invites the reader to think big because the believer serves a big God. In doing this the author sets the readers gaze away from themselves and towards the Cross of Christ. I encourage you to pick up this book and learn what it means to biblically deal with significant struggles in ways that bring glory to God.
